Herschel’s Cyanotype: Invention or discovery?
Assignment:
You must make two cyanotype prints. Please plan ahead to determine how you want your prints to work. You should consider aesthetics and meaning when creating your cyanotype.
Place your desired objects on the sheet of paper/material in the pattern you have chosen.
You can achieve gradations in color by moving objects after a time.
The exposure time will vary depending on the amount of sun. 5-20 minutes.
When you are done exposing your cyanotype you must rinse it in water for at least 5 minutes to remove all the residual chemicals. Dry flat or hang to dry.
